My little chinwag on [C] Control: The Money Of Soul And Possibility

(I’m back guys, did you think i was dead?)

Well after 2 long and mind filling years, we finally see that the great Kenji Nakamura has returned, to bring a brand new and all original anime project “[C] Control”. This is big news to Trapeze and Mononoke fans alike. All of his anime’s have been a great watch to absorb into my retinas, he is just fantastically talented at directing, out of the box anime’s while using CGI in an imaginative ways beyond believe. This gives the watcher the OH MY GOD impression/factor and only genius can re produce this again and again, he gives a very psychoactive factor to the playing field of the great but messed up world of anime.

could not find the mononke anime Nakamura made, so you have to deal with this one

In 2007, the release of Mononoke blatantly in broad daylight showed his breathtaking way of presenting the way people struggled through life (And this is dame hard to do, believe me). He is not only breathtaking he is mind-blowingly good at maximising and pouring out pure/virgin/untated meteor shower of blood pumping, heart beating awsomness (It’s so good, I had to miss out the “E”!) OK guys I was going a bit over board on that last sentence (or was I) but he is just that good. But anyway back onto the rollercoaster of a chinwag that I have just started… It really amazes me how he did this on a very limited quality of animation, in my eyes, it is just overwhelming how he does this. This is why I will love his work compared to all does Hollywood directors (except some) using the top CGI and film technique as scapegoats. I’m not saying, I don’t love all that eye candy, it is just they are using it to disguise all the trashy scrip’s they have written (dame, they get paid enough to write something a bit good at least :o).

The man him self! I wish they made a wall scroll of his manly face! 🙂

Well onto 2009 we see the release of Trapeze, and I have got to say Kenji used this show as a tentative/tasty (why “tasty” you say, well I was munching on a cake when I wrote this) trail-and-error test. To see how far he could use his [crazy] imagination and I got to say um… words cannot explain it! Well if any of you have no idea what is Trapeze (maybe all of you?), well basically the great Nakamura, interfused live-action environments and actors as a framework with a composite of vibrant colours. And again this animation shows the Nakamura Factor! But I have got to say, how I love how he takes risks on every animation project he does. But some people would say, it feels like someone flicked an elastic band of WTF at them. But I don’t care; everyone has their own opinion on everything (that’s the same with me! ¬_¬). But I have to say this show had its low and high notes, you see, I said it!

Well anyway, I will F5 my mind back onto the main subject [C] Control: The Money of Soul and Possibility trailer! (I took long enough). Before I go on, I have to speak my mind (not like I always speak my mind ¬_¬), why “C” for a title name? Oh I know why, it’s the Nakamura Factor all over again! (You never saw that one coming did you). Well-well from watching the small snippet of a taster of a trailer (more like a teaser then a trailer), it looks like he has descended from his last Mario level of craziness to something different altogether. All the colourful backgrounds are gone and his artistic factor has poved away! But this project has been replaced with a more sturdy and easy on the eye design. Secretly, he has overlaid a small filter of Nakamura on it (all I have to say Nakamura is back in the house!) From the trailer it looks much cleaner and compact (like an iPhone “why did I type this?”) compared to last creations. This anime’s main focus is suppose to be full blown action (dame, I’m getting flash backs of the “terminator”. Good times-good times.) Man oh man, my head is just hurting, just thinking of how Nakamura going to place his Awsomeness/epiceness [/craziness] (no “E”, it’s to epic to have an “E”) with this new type of animation (what do you think of his new approach, my Awsome readers?) Never less, he is going to make this anime project more flash, bang then he has ever done before. With his rich and chocolate covered storytelling and new type of anime design he has gone with, crazy story telling. This is going to end up being the highlight of the year! I’m telling you! Additionally, his inclusion of a very sensitive subject that is normally a taboo to talk about let alone make an anime about (well in the past it was). This will be a eye opener! I’m telling you. (Again)

Does symbols on the top gives me crazy ideas (well the middle one looks like a ear and the first one on the left lookes like a um...., well what do you think it is readers? Please comment below)

Well at this early stage of this anime project, I’m very optimistic that this anime project, will make the NoitaminA Team reach the top of the mountain again after their fall in profits (for the last couple of years). But heck, I don’t care if it ends up being rubbish. I will be happy just to see his name in the credits as a Nakamura fan myself! 🙂 Just had to add this, Mononoke was the best reviewed and best selling anime project the NoitaminA Team has ever done. (Hm, this new project could give the company a Déjà vu effect)

    Well here is the synopsys:

The Japanese government was rescued from the brink of financial collapse by the Sovereign Wealth Fund. For its citizens, however, life has not improved, and unemployment, crime, suicide, and despair are rampant. Kimimaro, raised by his maternal grandmother after the disappearance of his father and the death of his mother, is a scholarship student whose only dream is to avoid all this and live a stable life. One day, however, he meets a man who offers him a large sum of money if he’ll agree to pay it back. From then on his fate is radically altered as he’s drawn into a mysterious area known as “The Financial District.”

    [C] Team:

Director – Kenji Nakamura (worked on Ayakashi, Bakeneko arc and also on Mononoke, Trapeze)

Series Composition – Noboru Takagi (worked on Baccano! and also on Durararar!! [how many ra’s was it?])

Original Character Design – Mebae (worked on Tailenders)

Animation Character Design – Takashi Hashimoto (worked on Mononoke and also on Trapeze)

Chief Animation Director[s] – Takashi Hashimoto – Akira Takada (they have worked on Haibane Renmei and also on Drararararararaarrar!! [ahhhh! Dame so many ra’s])

Well onto my conlustion of this wordy post. Well any of you who have seen Mr Nakamura’s work, will proberly like this but in my mind i think any anime fan will love this intersing show.

And a bit of omak for my lovely readers:

    Dame, Nakamura in ninja mode!

scientist: i know you want a blow! ^_^ (be very-very afriad)

Please leave a comment guys on, what you think of the post? And also please leave a vote in the poll about the post! 🙂

Why is the image in the middle of the post that of Ghibli’s Mononoke Hime?

I have not seen any of this guy’s work so I’ll just have to take your word for it. The financial angle strikes me as an adult kind of content which I am very interested in, so I will look forward to this.

My little bit on “Infinite Stratos”

My little bit on “Infinite Stratos”. Infinite Stratos first started off as a light novel then into a manga, and know an anime. Infinite Stratos is engraved in stone to be a 12 episode anime (only 4 eps have been released)

Lets have a look at the synopsys first:

In the near future, a Japanese scientist engineers a powered exoskeleton called “Infinite Stratos” (IS). Possessing technology and combat capabilities far more advanced than any other weapon system, the IS threatens to destabilize the world. Faced with such an overpowering weapon, the nations of the world enact the “Alaska Treaty”, which states that IS will never be used for military combat and that existing IS technology must be equally distributed to all nations, to prevent any one nation for dominating the others. The introduction of the IS does however have a major effect on society. As IS can only be operated by women, the power balance between men and women is broken, with women coming to dominate society over men.

Ten years after the first IS were introduced, the world has entered a new age of peace. The peace is shattered, however, by an unexpected discovery. A 15 year old Japanese boy, named Ichika Orimura, is discovered to be capable of operating an IS. Realizing the potential, Ichika is forced by the Japanese government to attend the prestigious Infinite Stratos Academy, an international academy where IS pilots from all over the world are trained. Thus his busy school life surrounded by girls begins.

This anime has a very generic harem story line (but hay I love generic Chocó bars :)), based of the eps I have seen. The story has been presented in very classic harem genera kind of way (is it bad to be surrounded by hundreds of girls…hm hm…). The story may be 50/50 in the best of times; it makes up for this in the great animation quality in the battles scenes and for the cute anime character designs. And this in turn makes it a decent anime series to goggle your eyes at for 30 odd mins on.

Of all the characters show at this early stage of this anime that I’m Likening quit a bit is Huang Lingyin. But my mind is still open at the moment, to see who my fav is. Houki Shinonono is lining up to quit a nice character

I have decided that I will be getting volume one of this Manga and i will review it as well (soon….), in the review I will compare how similar the Manga is to the anime and how different it is. (If thats the case)

A bit of Omake for my lovely/ pervy guys or..... girls @_@

(Thats what i looked like when i first saw a bra [i thought it was a hat, LOL]… well kind like that but a bit more OMG faced)

So the conclusion is that if you are into harem series (stuff like that) you are in luck (BINGO!) But if don’t, why don’t you just give it a try? (You may like it? Or maybe it will change the way you think of humanoid robotics?….)

What do you thnk of the anime so far? comment below.
